After seeing a similar idea in the Ace Combat group I decided to do a picture of a newscast about one of the Ace Combat Wars. Since the Belkans are supposed to be the Germans and in the game we have pics of them using Leopard IIs I decided to find a good image of a couple Leopards on the march and edit it into a news image.

This is from OBC (Osean Broadcast Company I assume) in the first hours of the invasion. Changes to this pic include the smoke in the background which I'm not that happy with. Wish it blended better. Instead of Iron Crosses on the sides of these real life German tanks I took the Belkan flag and dirtied and moved it around. I most happy with the news caption at the bottom. The red bar at the bottom is the Osean Emergency Broadcast System. Its calling all Osean reserve forces to active service. The final thing I did was use a VIDEO distortion option to give it the lines. A side-effect I'm not happy with is the brightness of the image but not sure how to correct it.

All this was done with the free tool GIMP. Would love some feedback, might do some more images like this in the future.

I'd rather be on the Belkan's side, fighting those guys was awesome. The majority of them were pretty much legendary.

Not so sure about that, while the Belkans were a reference to WWII Germany however never in the game was it suggested they were as bad as the Nazis.
