"Some in the fleet thought the massive ships unwieldy in combat-too slow and cumbersome. What those critics forgot was that a UNSC destroyer sported two MAC guns, twenty-six oversized Archer missile pods, and three nuclear warheads. Unlike other fleet ships, she carried no single ship fighters-instead her extra mass came from the nearly two meters of titanium A battleplate armor that covered her from stem to stern...Someone at the shipyard had appreciated the Iroquois for what she was too, two long streaks of crimson war paint had been applied to her port and starboard flanks."

This is my idea of the long read about but never seen UNSC destroyer from Halo. Captain Keyes before he commanded the Pillar of Autumn to her ill fated journey to Halo was the CO of the Iroquois. I worked from some limited sources but a lot of the ship is guess work. I've never seen a good image of a UNSC destroyer so I had to make some of it up.
I am real happy with this however since it keeps in line with the blocky human vessels from the game. You can't see the second MAC cannon since I set them up side by side. The letter labeled spots are the Archer Missile pods. In the novels they are labeled by letter so the same here. The colors and stripes of all colors are based on other Halo ships. Along with the hull armor.
The engines are a mix of those off the UNSC frigates and the Pillar of Autumn. According to Halopedia the Destroyers have eight twin barreled 50mm point defense guns. In the novel Fall of Reach Keyes mentions point defense but doesn't state a number of turrets. So I went with their number.
While the Iroquois has no Longsword fighters it would carry shuttles and Pelican dropships. A docking bay is on the ventral (bottom) side of the ship.
Would love feedback.
